About Ukraine Global Scholars
UGS.foundation is a U.S.- and Ukraine-registered non-profit that helps talented Ukrainian high schoolers from modest backgrounds apply to top global boarding schools and universities. Since 2015, we’ve helped over 250 Ukrainians secure more than $50 million in scholarships to leading institutions worldwide.
Building on this success, UGS is now developing a comprehensive Repatriation and Career Program to help Ukrainian graduates educated abroad return home, contribute professionally, and drive systemic impact.
About the Opportunity
Ukraine Global Scholars (UGS) is seeking an experienced, visionary Head of Repatriation to lead and expand its growing portfolio of programs that help Western-educated Ukrainians return and contribute to Ukraine’s development. This senior leader will oversee UGS’s efforts to connect international graduates with impactful career pathways, internships, and opportunities in Ukraine — helping transform “brain drain” into “brain gain”.
The role is ideal for a dynamic connector with deep relationships across Ukraine’s private sector, government, and international community — someone who can unite partners behind a shared mission of human capital return and national rebuilding. The gross annual compensation ranges between $30,000 and $35,000 and is based on experience. UGS also provides medical insurance.
The Head of Repatriation will lead the strategy, design, and execution of UGS’s repatriation initiatives, including:
- The UGS Internship Program, First Jobs Program, and Educational Loan Repayment Program for returning students and alumni.
- The Social Impact Internship Fund, which subsidizes unpaid or low-paid internships in Ukraine.
- The Ukraine Impact Fellowship Program, designed to connect US talent with high-impact roles in Ukraine.
- The Back2Impact Ukraine Platform, a digital hub matching global Ukrainian and Western talent with opportunities in Ukraine.
This role requires a strategic and operational leader who can turn vision into action — building partnerships, managing programs, and developing scalable systems to ensure returning Ukrainians have real pathways to meaningful careers.
