UGS.foundation is a U.S.- and Ukraine-registered non-profit that helps talented Ukrainian high schoolers from modest backgrounds apply to top global boarding schools and universities. Since 2015, we’ve helped over 350 Ukrainians secure more than $94 million in scholarships to leading institutions worldwide for their commitment to return to Ukraine for at least five years. Position Summary
We are seeking a Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to lead UGS’s fundraising, communications, and partnership expansion efforts. This senior leader will drive the organization’s financial sustainability, visibility, and long-term growth, while ensuring alignment with our mission to empower the next generation of Ukrainians educated abroad. The gross annual compensation ranges between $40,000-50,000 and is based on experience. UGS also provides medical insurance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising and Strategic Partnerships
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure at least 20% of the annual operating budget.
- Cultivate relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Represent UGS at high-level events and donor engagements in Ukraine and internationally.
2. Grants Management and Institutional Funding
- Oversee grant writing, reporting, and compliance processes.
- Coordinate closely with program leads to ensure timely and accurate delivery of grant outcomes.
- Identify new institutional funding opportunities aligned with UGS priorities.
3. Marketing, Communications, and Events
- Supervise UGS’s communications strategy, including media relations, social media, and storytelling.
- Lead brand development and strengthen UGS’s public presence in Ukraine and globally.
- Oversee flagship events (e.g., UGS Gala, alumni gatherings, and international panels).
4. Expansion of UGS Knowledge and Opportunity Platform
- Develop and lead the development of a scalable revenue-generating boarding school and college admission counseling offering based on the UGS core program.
- Curate and expand UGS’s educational resources, partner offers, and guidance materials, ensuring accessibility and value for a broader audience.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in non-profits, large NGOs, philanthropy, or international development.
- Exceptional English communication skills (native-level or near-native proficiency).
- Strong networks in Ukraine and internationally, with a record of successful fundraising or partnership-building.
- Strategic and creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset and ability to design scalable systems.
- Excellent public speaker and storyteller, able to engage diverse audiences.
- Passionate about education, nation-building, and Ukraine’s future.
